Fantasy Baseball Help!!!?!?!?!?

This is my first year doing fantasy baseball. In football i always know what position is best to draft first and all that but i have no clue about baseball! What order should i draft my positions and such.

I’m a big believer in mock drafts. They definitely can help you figure out a strategy strategy.

Here’s a sample drafting strategy I tend to use (although I try to refine it to address scarce positions each year — this year the scarce positions are 2B, 3B, C and SS).

1. Pick the best batter on the board.
2. Pick a power hitter — hopefully in one of the scarce positions
3. Pick another power hitter — scarce position if possible
4. Power outfielder
5. Starting pitcher
6. Another batter — maybe SS or C if you haven’t filled those spots yet
7. Starting pitcher or relief pitcher (depends on whether several relief pitchers have been taken by this time — best idea is to put a bunch of closers in your queue and watch when they start disappearing. Get one by this round if they’re starting to disappear off the board).
8. from this round to the end alternate filling up your batting roles and your hitting roles, every other round.
9. Make sure to get a couple of speedsters toward the end of the draft — someone who can steal bases for you. E.g., Michael Bourn, Juan Pierre, Rajai Davis, Elvis Andrus, Julio Borbon, Dexter Fowler, etc.
