How to play first base in baseball?

few things, to help you scoop the ball , work on extending your elbow so you can catch it as it hops or before the hop. Someone said that when the runner is stealing you should yell RUNNER only do this if the pitcher is already throwing, if the pitcher is in his set position when the runner takes off yell STEP OFF , this will help so he doesnt get startled and bawk. And last when someone squares up to bunt or when a ball is hit on the left of the pitcher in the infield. The pitcher if he knows what to do should already be on his way to first base. if the ball is already past him, then its your turn , the 2nd baseman should rarely be at the bag to make the out it should always be pitcher or first baseman. If you are chargeing a ball , and you hear the 2nd baseman call you off, ALWAYS listen he has a better view of the whole situation, where the runner,pitcher, and you are, and probly can make the play easier then you can.
