I want everyone’s opinion…?
Do you have or know a person that thinks that they know baseball, and when you asked them what is their favorite team, they pick THE YANKEES or any team that is favorited to win. But they don’t know the history about that team?
Example: My girlfriend thinks that she knows baseball and her favorite team is THE YANKEES because she thinks Derek Jeter is cute and the Yankees wins alot. But when I questioned her a little history about the YANKEES (I’ve gave her easy question dated back to 2004) and she couldn’t give me answer but THE YANKEES ARE GOING TO THE WORLD SERIES.
The Yankees are my least favorite team in baseball. Of course you are going to win all these division titles when you buy a team. I have much more respect for a team like Detroit, who has fought from being one of the worst teams to one of the best or Minnesota, who gives a bunch of young no-name players a chance and it is working for them. Cheering for the Yankees is the equivalent of going to a casino to cheer for the house. Everyone loves a good underdog and the Yankess are not and will never be an underdog.
