BASEBALL TRIVIA ANSWERS PITCHER

Would anyone like to try a trivia quiz without baseball.reference?

Well, howdy, baseball fans. It’s a beautiful day for a game. Before we get to the opening lineups — brought to you by Frizzie Lizzie’s — how about a little trivia. Ready? Steady? Here goes:

1.) Who holds the single season doubles records. (And how many, if you can think of it.)

2.) Same for triples.

3.) Same for stolen bases

4.) Same for strike outs (hitters)

5.) Same for strike outs (pitchers)

Now, don’t look em up, fans. And we’ll give you the answers in the 7th inning stretch.
All right then. Leading off at shortstop. . .
Whoa! Really good. All of the answers are here! I’ll wait to do BA. Well, you know. Till the 7th inning.

Not looking it up, on my honor.

1. Earl Webb, 67.

2. Chief Wilson, 36.

3. Rickey Henderson, 130.

4. Mark Reynolds, something like 208. Very recent, last two or three seasons.

5. Modern era, Nolan Ryan, 383. In the long-long ago (19th century), someone had over 500 — I wanna say it 515 and the pitcher was Tim Keefe but probably neither of those specifics are correct.
