Training for Baseball?

Next spring, I plan on trying out for my high school baseball team. The only experience I’ve had is with Little League in elementary school. What do I need to do to train for tryouts? I’m 15 years old, weigh about 165, am about 5′10”, and am kinda out of shape. Also do you have any tips/advice for me?

Im the same way but im 14 and 6′3 but im trying out for my team and im already training for it , to get urself in shape start running. I wouldnt recommend a treadmill outside is better and can be more challangeing in some cases. Also start lifting weights to build your arms and do leg press’. Do situps and crunches to build ur abs. Start air punching with 5-10 lb weights in ur hands to make them quicker and itll help u swing the bat faster. Take a tennis ball and throw it at all a wall pretty hard rapid fire and try catching it without dropping it itll help with ur hand eyed cordnation. also if u cn go to a batting cage 2-3 times a week just so ur swing will be nice and fresh when tryouts come around. If ur a pitcher work on ur arm with weights but dont stretch it out to much it could make it worse. Just pracitce playing catch and maybe buy one of those nets that bounces the ball back to u. go to some pitching camps and work on ur form. about a month before tryouts do some live pitching with ur friends just to get used to the feeling.
