BASEBALL RECRUITING 2010

BASEBALL RECRUITING 2010
Ncaa Baseball DI recruiting?

This is a letter that I received from a DI college about Baseball recruiting
I spoke with 2 coaches, and 1 told me that they had a full roster for 2011 fall too (Is that possible?), and that I must be a Full Time student in order to tryout.
The second told me that I could partecipate at the tryouts, but as soon I told him that I had already talked with the previously coach look what he wrote to me:

“Sorry for the confusion. Coach G… is incharge of most of the recruiting so he would know more than me. But if you do get into the school, and show up next fall with some serious skills, it’s possible that something can be worked out.”

what do you think is the Coach trying to tell me? Is he talking about 2010 fall or 2011?
My friend that study there thinks that maybe they won’t accept every player beacause they are DI and they are trying to understand how much i’m interested and also to make me apply to the Uni.
What do you think?

No, you do not need to be a full time student to try out. I am not an expert in deciphering the language of baseball coaches so I am not entirely sure what the coach is trying to get across to you except that you have some serious skills. To be scouted that seriously by a D1 school is a big deal! I think the coach is trying to tell you that if you work hard and improve over the next several months you should have a spot on the team. Baseball coaches like to make you feel like you are not good so that you will go out and work hard. Just remember, if you are being scouted by a D1 school, then you are good no matter what happens. That is an honor in itself. Good luck! Maybe I will see you in the majors someday!
