What is this book called?
A long time (Two years) ago I read a fictional teen book. It was about a seventeen girl (I think) who thought she was going on a date with her boyfriend to a baseball game. When he didn’t show up, she went home, sad and angry. But when she got home, she found her boyfriend kissing her mother. She goes to the nearest train station, and catches the first train. She cuts off all of her beautiful long hair, to make herself bald and unrecognizable. After she gets off of the train, she is in deep New York (I think) and she meets a girl named Lolli (Lollipop) and a boy with her. Lolli had stolen a cat from a pet store, which she hides under her jacket. Together they all go and get some coffee. After that Lolli and the boy take the girl to their “home” in an abandoned train station, there she meets the leader of the group (a boy, I forgot his name)

That’s Valiant by Holly Black! I love her books! They’re so addictive. If you didn’t know the series goes like this:
Tithe
Valiant
Ironside
Valiant is kind of the oddball in the series. Tithe and Ironside are about a different girl who finds out she’s a faerie and falls in love with a noble faerie. Those books mainly focus on them. I liked Valiant a lot though. Even better than Tithe!
