Baseball Card box sets?

I have some questions about baseball card box sets… I was looking into buying a Topps 2009 box set. It says it contains 660 cards…

Will I pretty much get atleast 1 card of every player in the MLB? so that all of the best players will be in the set???

Are the cards always in PERFECT condition when you buy a box set? because they aren’t covered in plastic packs or anything… so do the corners ever get bent? or are they always in perfect condition??

You won’t get every major league player. Fringe players rarely make the base set. Instead stars appear in 2,3 etc cards. But you would get all the better players in the league.

The cards are usually in mint condition. You should check the condition of the box and see if someone drop it etc. A lot of the people do not open the box set (including the wrap) to keep perfect condition. I don’t do this. I rather open it and organize the cards I want and trade the others for things I want.

I also advise you to buy the Factory set at least a year after it came out if you can wait. The price is usually halfed by then. But if you want to buy it now, try buying it in Target. The last couple of years Target factory sets come with a Mickey Mantle game used card. It doesn’t cost more in Target and this card is usually worth the set itself. I am not quite sure what the Target exclusive is this year though. Walmart may have an exclusive too.
