What do you believe a 24-team 2013 World Baseball Classic would look like?
The 2009 WBC is slated for March, and will have the same 16 teams in 4 pools just like in ‘06, however the major change is that teams will cross over into other pools depending on whether they place 1st or 2nd in their pool. I’ve read that there is the possibility of expanding the field to 24 teams beginning in 2013. What additional 8 teams would you include? And how would the format change?
There has also been mentioned a possible preliminary round to compete in the main competition of the WBC.
