1990 TOPPS BASEBALL CARDS PRICES

1990 TOPPS BASEBALL CARDS PRICES
what are my 1990 topps baseball cards worth?

I have several boxes of unopened cards and was wondering the price of them.

It used to be a decent box, before Sosa and steroids and Frank Thomas started getting hurt every year and slowing down. Everybody figured him for 600 HR, easy. But the Leaf Series 1 boxes were always the better to have anyway.

You’re looking at anywhere from $5 to $10 per box. There is still a ton of it out there in unopened cases.

Single boxes have sold for as high as $13 each on eBay. But the seller got nowhere near that. It costs at least $8 to ship one because of the weight. So $8 of the buyer’s money went to that, $5 went for the box itself, and after fees, the seller sees about $4.

So if you can sell them to somebody local where shipping isn’t an issue, you’d do OK getting between $5 and $10 each.

Thing is, you probably paid more than that for them. That’s the story with most sports cards from the late 1980s to late ’90s. After that, I can’t say. I quit with new cards and went vintage, where values hold steady or keep going up.
